COMMERCIAL ASSISTANTS
The Emerging Markets team of Triodos Investment Management manages funds that invest in financial institutions focused on financial inclusion through the provision of micro, small and medium enterprise finance in emerging markets. Furthermore, Triodos Investment Management provides finance to support sustainable food and agricultural production as well as access to sustainable energy sources. Because of increasing activities, we are looking for entrepreneurial individuals to fulfil the position of:
COMMERCIAL ASSISTANTS (32-40 hrs)
Regions: Latin America and Asia
The position is based in Zeist in the Netherlands. We are looking for two candidates in the regions: Eastern Europe & Asia and Latin America. The Commercial Assistants will primarily work for one of the regions but may be required to assist in other regions.
The Commercial Assistant will report to the Latin America & Africa Regional Manager or the Eastern Europe & Asia Regional Manager and will support management as well as the Investment Officers in their international investment activities.
Your responsibilities
- Support investment officers in:
- Administrative tasks including drafting loan agreements and managing the disbursement process
- Writing client reviews and proposals
- Analysign financial, risk and sustainability data
- Monitoring clients
- Conducting customer due diligence
- Contribute to meetings and plans of the regional team and monitor progress of these plans
- Identify and analyse opportunities for expansion of investment portfolio
- Preparation of commercial and business development activities
- Maintain contact with clients and answering questions as backup for investment officers
Your profile
- Relevant education at minimum Bachelor level, e.g. Business Economics or Business Administration
- 3-5 years relevant (financial) experience
- Accessible, pro-active and well-organised person with a hands-on and facilitating attitude
- Willing and able to do a variety of tasks ranging from administrative tasks to client contact
- Fluent communication in English, both orally and in writing
- Active knowledge of the following language(s) is a strong advantage
- Eastern Europe and Asia: Russian
- Latin America: Spanish
- Excellent knowledge of Excel and other office systems
- Affinity with the sustainability goals of Triodos Bank
- Applicants must have or obtain a valid work permit for the European Union.
