Position Summary:

This position reports to the Director, Global Operations of Fundacja TechSoup but with many interactions with other senior TechSoup Global staff in Europe and Globally making this position truly exciting. The position requires management responsibilities with reporting Global Operations staff.
The successful candidate will work 100% on projects related with TechSoup Global technology programmes including the donations/NGO validations programs adopting it to the local business practices, law and cultural imperatives. In the process, we’re building a global network of partners all focused on empowering NGOs through the effective use of ICT technology.
This role will involve working closely with our existing support team, based in Poland and the USA and our network of partners. The focus will be equally split between undertaking the daily project management and operations of our technology programs and also supporting our existing global partner network. Successful candidates depending on aptitude and bandwidth will be given the opportunity quantify and extend our existing support processes and coverage to partners.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Tasks of Senior Project Manager, Global Operations will be split into project management, support activities as well as training and development activities as described below:
Project Management Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance of e-commerce donation/NGO validation platforms (including Customer Relationship Management and Content Management systems) and other platforms providing services. This activity requires project management of the group of tech support personnel in fixing and adding new platform functions and features;
  • Project managing roll outs of existing and new programs to current and new countries;
  • Managing existing and new professional services contracts with the vendors providing services to TechSoup Global platforms;
  • Being responsible for prioritizing and milestone setting and realization of operational workstreams for internal programmes and projects;
  • Being point of contact for operational aspects for internal project and grant managers.
Managing Support:
Managing Global Operations team providing first line support for TechSoup partners. This involves:
  • Being escalation point for TechSoup partners;
  • Communicate to partners major program/policy introductions and changes;
  • Proactive outreach to partners when needed;
  • Prioritize tasks and supervise the staff performing reviews, and analyzing and responding to (and escalating internally if required) queries from our existing partners around the world;
  • Providing and managing appropriate internal communications and escalations to stakeholders on progress of activities including but not limited to Global operations director;
  • Supervision of the operations staff would cover, but is not limited to, such topics as:
    • Donor eligibility criteria;
    • Programme guidelines;
    • Status of registrations and orders;
    • Introduction of new programs, donors, countries;
    • Technical issues with the platform.
Training and Process Definition:
  • Lead and own the activity for helping to define and evolve the global/regional support processes;
  • Coordinate training both internal and external around support process and applications;
  • Donor partner management to implement new donor programs;
  • Regional support process to the network.

Qualifications:

Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, IT or related field required - strong academic background;
  • Master’s degree or Post graduate studies in Project Management /IT will be an asset;
  • Project Management qualifications.
Experience:
  • 5+ years’ management experience;
  • Practical experience in the field of project management;
  • Professional experience working internationally. Non-profit sector experience is a plus;
  • Website editing experience using a content management system preferred;
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for emerging technology preferred;.
  • Marketing experience is a bonus
Knowledge:
  • Understanding of the technology needs of nonprofits and the challenges in implementing technology solutions that they face preferred;
  • Knowledge of Business IT environment;
  • Knowledge of social media tools preferred;
  • Knowledge of Project Management;
  • Excellent written and spoken knowledge of English, other languages will be an asset.
Skills:

  • Diplomacy and teamwork;
  • Possesses a positive attitude, flexibility, sense of humor, and big-picture perspective;
  • Possesses a passion for TSG’s mission;
  • Interest in, and comfort with technology as a communications vehicle;
  • Works very well in a highly collaborative and dynamic environment.
