To strengthen our Consulting practice, we are currently looking to recruit:

EXPERIENCED CONSULTANT IN PUBLIC SECTOR OPERATIONS

Function
You will advise and support public sector clients, such as the European Commission, European agencies, NATO, federal government and regional government.
You will work within our service line Public Sector Operations that has as mission to help public sector clients to grow and to continuously improve the effectiveness and efficiency of their operational processes, aligning services, products, technology, infrastructure, processes and organization within the strategies of our clients.
Our team is based in our offices in Brussels. You will be able to work with colleagues throughout the Deloitte organization across Europe and beyond.
You will be able to develop innovative solutions tailored to the specific needs of our clients on different kinds of projects dealing with a.o. strategic planning, business process management, lean, strategic performance management, administrative simplification etc.
You will be able to work in various domains of the public sector, such as such as justice, mobility, environment, employment, E-government etc. and specialize in one of them.
As a consultant, you will become responsible for certain sub-projects in which you take the lead towards clients. You will contribute to business development activities. On a longer term you can grow in your position and manage your own projects and client portfolio.

Profile requirements 
 
  • You have 3 to 6 years of relevant work experience (for example as a public sector consultant or as a staff member of a public sector organization);
  • You have an intellectual curiosity combined with outstanding analytical skills;
  • You are able to bring major benefits to our clients applying your consulting skills as strategic advisor. You can demonstrate clear strengths in analytical, problem solving, and communication skills;
  • You have a university degree. A relevant post-graduate degree is an asset;
  • You have good insight in or a demonstrated keen interest in current trends and evolutions in one or more core domains of government, e.g. justice, mobility, environment, employment, … ;
  • You have a good understanding of the public sector landscape for these core domains;
  • You are a team player with strong communication skills;
  • You are stress-resistant, flexible and eager to learn;
  • You have a thorough command of MS Office applications;
  • You are fluent and have strong writing skills in Dutch, French and English. Fluency in both Dutch and French is a clear asset. Additional languages are a plus.
