At Oikocredit International based in Amersfoort, the Netherlands, we are currently looking for a
Editor/writer English (parttime, 24 hours)
Responsibilities
The new colleague will prepare, rewrite and edit copy and other texts to improve readability and ensure style and content is right for the intended audience and publication platform. Review copy or text to detect and correct errors in spelling, punctuation, and syntax. Ensure the text is in line with the editorial 'house style'. Check facts, illustrations and captions. Raise queries with the authors and be alert to any potential problems in a text, such as copyright.
As a member of the DIR editorial team you join weekly editorial meetings and contribute to brainstorming, editorial planning and communications.
Education and experience
Oikocredit is looking for someone who has completed a Bachelor degree (HBO) in journalism, in English, or has a degree, or postgraduate degree, in a related subject, such as English, publishing or media. Being a native English speaker and having experience as a copy editor are advantages.
