Great Plains Superuser/Warehouse Technician

Special Service Agreement for duration of 3 months with possibility of extension. The first three months considered as a probation period.
The incumbent shall have the following duties and responsibilities:
 Receive all the FITTEST commodities;
 Report on the quality, quantity of the received commodities;
 Maintain clean and pest-free storing conditions;
 Ensure good warehousing practices;
 Supervise the off loading and stacking of the commodities;
 Ensure that assistants assigned to the various stores keep records of the FITTEST stock offloaded/loaded at the warehouses, adhering to the WFP systems Great Plains;
 Control incoming goods Non-food commodities by such methods as physical counts, random weight checks, rejection of any spoiled commodity, reconditioning of underweight bags, etc. Update Great Plains;
 Sign waybills of received cargo;
 Deliver goods on request against official and approved documentation;
 Keep updated records on Great Plains;
 Make periodic physical inventory checks. Using Great Pains and Panatracker WMS solutions;
 Liaise with field monitors and others on matters pertaining to logistics;
 Report on and, in consultation with others, take appropriate action for the disposal of spoilt commodities;
 Provide overall supervision and training of other storekeepers and casual labor in use of Panatracker;
 Maintain system data in Great Plains. Entering new item codes and details upon receipt. Update details as might be required into Great Plains;
 Provide monthly reports of stocks, and transactions to stock owners. From Great Plains;
 Managing, maintaining, refurbishing & assessing of stock items In Great Plains;
 Tracking of items procured & dispatched for warranty purpose in Great Plains;
 Organize and supervise repairing/installing of ICT equipments in FITTEST, and any other stocks as might be required;
 Train staff as might be required on usage of handling material and Panatracker system;
 Perform other related duties as required.
Academic Qualifications/ Experience/ Language required:
 Education: Completion of secondary school education.
 Experience: At least four years of progressively responsible support experience in warehouse/logistics or other related field.
 Language: Fluency in both oral and written communication in English.
Required Competencies and Knowledge:
 General knowledge of UN system policies, rules and regulation will be an advantage;
 Practical knowledge of Microsoft Great Plains software is essential and SAP ERP system is highly desirable;
 Prioritizes team activities based on urgencies, time constraints;
 Ensures that internal clients’ needs are properly met (e.g., follows up with clients); Customer focused;
 Ability to extract, interpret, analyze and format data;
 To work effectively with people of different national and cultural backgrounds;
 Ability to work with accuracy under time constraints and pressure and to deal patiently and tactfully with staff members and others and to have a high sense of confidentiality, initiative and good judgment.
