Secretary (Research)

The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) has a vacancy based in Vienna, Austria, for a Secretary (Research) in its Data Services Department.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provides administrative and secretarial services such as recording, distributing and following up incoming requests and other communication; drafting and typing letters, memos, emails, reports and other documentation; proofreading documentation; updating and creating new templates for routine memos, forms, etc.; customizing various macros; maintaining files; keeping appointment schedules; preparing and following up requisition slips; preparing tax forms; keeping records of budgetary matters and checking invoices; photocopying.
  • Scrutinizes electronic data subscriptions (OECD, IEA, IMF and Platt’s) and ensures that CD-ROMS, etc., are paid and received on time.
  • Assists in resolving general computer problems and MS-Word Basic.
  • Administers in-house computer training courses.
  • Services meetings and carries out ad hoc tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Secondary School certificate plus special courses
  • Three years of work experience

Offer:

Commensurate remuneration package i.e. monthly basic salary of (€2,747 x 12 per year) with tax-free benefits and six-week annual leave.
