Your Responsibilities

  • Human Capital Planner – Translate EFSA strategy into HR initiatives that align with its vision and objectives;
  • Talent Manager – Develop individual and organizational capabilities through the deployment of performance measurement and assessment tools;
  • Culture and Change Steward – Shape the culture required to deliver EFSA strategy. Work within EFSA leadership team to help lead change, monitor success and apply lessons learned for future change efforts;
  • Operational Executor – Implement policies, processes and HR technologies that are flexible and consistent. Continuously look for opportunities to streamline, utilize HR data, improve delivery of core HR processes and optimize the use of resources;
  • Trusted Business Advisor – Counsel managers with a deep understanding of EFSA goals and priorities;
  • Engagement Champion – Lead business in creating an environment based on collaboration, fairness, equity, diversity and inclusiveness to mitigating risk and regulatory interventions.
The jobholder will report to the Head of the Resources and Support Department.

Your Skills

Qualifications

  • A level of education which corresponds to completed university studies of at least four (4) years attested by a diploma; OR
  • A level of education which corresponds to completed university studies attested by a diploma and appropriate professional experience of at least one (1) year when the normal period of university education is at least three (3) years.

Experience

  • At least twelve (12) years of proven professional experience acquired after having obtained the qualifications mentioned in point 2 in positions corresponding to the nature of duties of the vacant post.

Experience and knowledge

  1. Out of the twelve (12) years mentioned above, at least ten (10) years of professional experience in the field of Human Resources/Knowledge Management;
  2. At least six (6) years of experience in a management role (Head of Unit, Head of Sector, Team Leader or equivalent);
  3. Proven experience of HR management (legislation, strategy, policies, processes, technology, resource management, reporting);
  4. Experience in business transformation, proven through the successful leverage of people, technology and processes;
  5. Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken;
  6. Experience/knowledge in the following areas is considered a plus;
  7. Successfully leading an organisation’s Human Resources function;
  8. Working in a multicultural environment, preferably with a multidisciplinary approach;
  9. Strong command of one or more of the following languages: French, Italian, German;
  10. Recognised professional certification in Human Resources Management and other HR field-related competencies;
  11. Professional experience in a scientific or technical complex environment.
