Governance Adviser Wanted at DFID Burma

We are looking to recruit a talented and energetic person, with strong general management and representational skills, as well as governance advisory experience to take up an exciting role that contributes to Burma’s continued political transition.
You will lead the elections and Parliament components of Programme for Democratic Change (PDC), as well support delivery of a new local governance programme due to start in August 2017. You will seek out opportunities to support the new Government and Parliament, designing and implementing governance programmes to help the new Government govern, strengthen Parliament and support wider public sector reform. As one of DFID Burma’s more senior members of staff, you will have a broader role in helping the wider DFID team in Yangon engage with the new Government across sectors. You will also have a wider UK Government representative role, building up and maintaining Her Majesty’s Government’s range of contacts – in Government, Parliament, civil society and other sectors as appropriate.
