Regional EFSL Capacity Building Coordinator Asia To be based in any country within the region

The role In line with our objective to ensure innovative and quality programmes which are shared within the region and beyond, you will provide technical leadership for capacity building of EFSL staff and teams across the Asia region. You will support the Regional EFSL Coordinator and influence the development of the regional EFSL capacity plan, with the aim that there is adequate preparedness and response capacity within all countries in the region and that gender, protection and HIV/AIDS is mainstreamed into capacity building activities. Working in closely with country teams, members of the regional humanitarian team, and the regional logistic and HR team you will design and manage the regional EFSL capacity building plan. You will also conduct emergency capacity gap assessment with relevant staff at regional and country level, affiliates and partners. And be available for the first 4-6 weeks of an emergency response

The requirements You will have good experience and a working knowledge of EFSL, with significant field experience. This will extend to designing and leading on capacity building programming at strategic/leadership and operational levels, as well as designing and delivering training. Proven relationship management skills, together with cultural sensitivity, gained from working in the region, are important requirements. Fluency in written and spoken English is essential.
