Regional Lead/Senior Economist - Kiev Hub


In 34 countries stretching from central Asia and Russia to eastern Europe and the southern and eastern Mediterranean, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) finances projects, mainly with private enterprises, and supports policy dialogue to improve the economic environment. With the ability and willingness to bear risk on behalf of our clients, we help countries in the region to become open market economies.
Regional Lead/Senior Economist - Kiev Hub
Based at our regional offices in Kiev, you’ll lead the assessment of macroeconomic developments, monitor structural reforms and lead policy dialogue across Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine. That means working closely with the authorities, private sector participants, as well as our sector economists and bankers to identify priority policy areas and potential projects. You’ll travel extensively to the assignment countries covered from the Kiev hub. The role calls for an advanced degree in economics, extensive professional experience in policy dialogue, with a strong knowledge of economic policy issues facing transition economies and emerging markets. Knowledge of Russian is highly desirable.
