Grants Change Programme Intern

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an intern who is interested in international development. Some experience of working in a global development organisation is desirable.
The Grants Change Programme Intern will support the Project Leader of the Grants Management work-stream in undertaking research that will support the design and implementation of new processes. This will focus on increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of institutional fundraising and the management of contracted funds.
The research will centre on a review of current global and local grant management policies and processes within Plan International as well as similar organizations in the non-profit sector.
This internship is open to currently registered final year or post-graduate students at Universities and Educational Institutions with an interest in international development or a related academic area. The student should: •be fluent in English; •have good analytical skills; •have good knowledge of a range of research methods; •have excellent computer skills •have good writing and research skills; •have good interpersonal skills and be able to work with people from different cultures with integrity and honestly; •have an understanding and commitment to the aims of Plan and the Convention on the Rights of the Child;
This is an unpaid Volunteer Internship, however, you will able to claim lunch to maximum of £4.00 per day and up to £20 of travel expenses (supported by receipts). This role is based in Woking, Surrey and is for a 12 week period. (Flexibility on days)
