Project Manager

Job Description
The OECD’s Global Relations Secretariat (GRS) is seeking Project Managers to help governments develop and implement policy reforms to enhance investment, competitiveness and private sector development in selected regions. These regions include: (i) Central Asia, (ii) Eastern Europe and South Caucasus (Eurasia), (iii) Middle East and North Africa, (iv) South-East Europe and (v) South-East Asia.
Successful candidates will be hired to work in one of these Regional Programmes and focus, in cooperation with relevant OECD Directorates, on a range of issues and projects, such as:
  •     Country competitiveness reviews with an emphasis on investment promotion, SME development, access to finance, gender, human capital development and business innovation;
  •     Sector competitiveness focusing on barriers to investment in specific industries such as agro-food or tourism, and relevant policy recommendations;
  •     Establishing policy frameworks for Triple Helix partnerships for innovation, between academia, business and local government;
  •     Monitoring progress and supporting the implementation of recommended reforms with the assistance of OECD experts.

Specific Regional Programme requirements include:
  •     Expertise in managing projects related to investment promotion, SME development, access to finance, gender, human capital development, business innovation, and sector competitiveness.  Experience working in the respective region would be an advantage;
  •     A minimum of three years of experience managing projects involving government institutions, international donors, and OECD partner countries;
  •     Knowledge of one or more languages spoken in the respective region is an advantage.
The selected candidate(s) will work under the supervision of the Head of the respective Regional Programme and may be required to regularly travel to the respective region.
