Research fellow - French Institute of International Relations (Ifri)

The French Institute of International relations is looking for a research fellow, 7 to 10 years of experience in the Energy field for its Brussels office.
  • Your task will include supervision and support of the members of the Ifri energy program based in Brussels while maintaining strong coordination with the other part of team based in Paris, requiring capacity to work in a team and individually.
  • You will in particular, work with the full range of EU institutions, Brussels-based private sector, industry organizations and foreign missions.
  • You will also coordinate an EU-funded project, in cooperation with other European research institutes. Your field of expertise will include the integration of the internal energy market, EU external energy policy and other world energy market issues in global energy governance, energy market security and sustainability.  
  • The successful candidate will have a strong sense of achievement, strong verbal and communication skills (excellent knowledge of written and spoken French and English). Usual writing tasks include long technical and analytical studies and short editorials.
  • Also, the successful candidate will have to display relationship building capacity for influence and competency in dialoguing with government agencies and various interest groups. A university degree in energy economics or in a relevant discipline would be greatly appreciated.
