Resident Engineer for a Road Upgrading Project
About the Project:
The Project road is located in the south-western Welega Zone of the Oromia Regional Administrative State.
The upgrading of the project road constitutes mainly the improvement of the horizontal and vertical alignment where possible, the construction of new pavement layers and placing of asphalt concrete, upgrading of the road furniture and the rehabilitation or widening of the drainage structures. The work also includes the construction of new culverts and the rehabilitation of the existing bridges and erosion control.
Candidate Profile:
Applicants should have a BSC Degree in Civil Engineering
Applicants must have:
- At least fifteen (15) years experience in carrying out Road Design/Construction / Rehabilitation
- At least eight (8) years as Project Manager or Resident Engineer on Road Construction or Rehabilitation Projects
- At least four (4) years experience as a Resident Engineer
- Four (4) years Experience as a Team Leader/Highway Engineer on Road Design or Design Management Projects
- Five (5) years Experience in Sub-Saharan African Countries
The following would be an advantage:
- MS WORD/ Excel/CAD/Data Bases/Total Station
This is a full time position for 21 months
