Testing & Commissioning Engineer Substations

Mobile substations up to 100 MVA
AIS & GIS substations up to 500 kV
Substations for wind farms (on land and at sea)
High-voltage lines
This division has already implemented projects in more than 50 countries worldwide, including Belgium, Germany, Zimbabwe, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, etc. For the testing and commissioning of its installations in Belgium and abroad, CG is looking for a driven and flexible commissioning engineer.
 
JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • Witnessing of FAT and final controls at the manufacturer plants of the main equipment for compliance with the customer’s specification, our internal requirements as well as our quality standards
  • Control of the engineering documents for compliance with the customer requirement as well
  • Full functional testing of the plant, possibly in the presence of inspectors from the client
  • Supervise the construction of the full post on the spot by a local subcontractor and complete testing of the installation in consultation with representatives of the customer to finally live up to the installation
  • Initiate and implement quality and safety standards
  • Search for constant improvement of the product, participate to the kick-off evaluation meeting, review the engineering documentation for correct functionality and implementation of the new quality requirement
YOUR PROFILE:
  • Degree in engineering
  • 5 years experience in the study and construction of power plants
  • Knowledge of PC applications for mechanical and electrical design and testing
  • Languages: Dutch, French, English, others if possible
  • Strong analytical thinking
  • Organization, planning, accuracy
  • Decision skill, initiative
