We currently have a vacancy for a JAVA Application Architect Designer (ADD) to offer his/her services within a European Institution in Brussels.
 
Tasks & Responsibilities
 
In particular the following services will be provided:
 
  • Architecture and design of information systems;
  • Review of the architecture of existing systems;
  • Development of information systems, their implementation and maintenance;
  • Ensure technical directions and choices, design, realize and validate long-term, reliable and adaptive technical systems;
  • Design and development of component architecture and building blocks; 
  • Analysis of the integration of different information systems; 
  • Data analysis and data modelling;
  • Coordination of the implementation of the technical architecture; 
  • Technical interface between the project leaders and the developers;
  • Production of software architecture documents; 
  • Participation in technical working groups, progress meetings and meetings with the users; 
  • Assistance in the testing, the technical documentation, the deployment, the evaluation and the reporting.
 
Skills & Experience 
 
  • Minimum of 13 years of experience combined with relevant studies and/ or experience after the secondary school.
  • Experience of at least 4 years in Java Enterprise;
  • Experience of at least 2 years in each of the following technologies and tools: CSS, JavaScript, Spring, JPA, SQL;
  • Experience of at least 2 years in the following technology and tools MAVEN;
  • 3 years of specific experience in the requirements of the role:
  • Good knowledge of modelling tools (e.g. UML, CASE);
  • In-depth knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA);
  • In depth knowledge of applications design;
  • Good knowledge of Object Oriented Programming languages;
  • Good knowledge of Enterprise Architecture;
  • Good knowledge of Relational DBMS;
  • Good knowledge of business process analysis;
  • Experience with Vaadin or Google Web Toolkit will be considered an asset;
  • Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings (FR-EN). Fluency in English, both written and spoken is mandatory; knowledge of French  will be an asset.
