Description
The mission of the Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources (BWSR) is to improve and protect Minnesota's water and soil resources by working in partnership with local organizations and landowners.

This position exists to:
-Provide technical expertise to all aspects of the BWSR's conservation easement and wetland banking programs.
-Conduct acquisitions of easements, including reviewing land ownership and legal descriptions for easement areas, identifying title problems and mediating solutions between all parties.
-Generate various legal documents required for easement acquisition.
- Assist with the review of easement applications including technical review, program compliance and database entry.
-Assist with easement monitoring efforts.

Note: Up to three positions will be filled from applicants responding to this requisition. All will be located in the BWSR St. Paul Office.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
1)Bachelor's degree in conservation, business administration, or a closely-related field OR
(2)At least four years of equivalent education and experience

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Knowledge of :
-The real estate documentation process
- Knowledge of land conservation programs including landowner application processes and monitoring for compliance.

Ability to:
-Provide qualitative and quantitative analysis of easement program statue, rules and policy to evaluate data
-Accurately assess program compliance, review easement material and understand the associated transactions related to real estate easement transactions
-Communicate clearly and concisely
-Work in a team environment under tight deadlines

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
-Work experience in a land conservation program
-Experience developing legal descriptions
-Experience mapping with ArcGIS
