VACANCY FOR THE POST OF SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER/CLAIMS SPECIALIST (CONTRACT)
The Wastewater Management Authority (WMA) is a corporate body which has as its core responsibility the protection of water resources and the health of the population in Mauritius through the management and control of wastewater collection, treatment and disposal.  The Authority is expected to implement major wastewater projects on behalf of the Government of Mauritius.
Applications are invited from dynamic, visionary and highly motivated professionals who wish to be considered for the post of SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER/CLAIMS SPECIALIST at the Wastewater Management Authority on contract basis:

       A. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  1. A degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying or Construction  Management or Cost Engineering  from a recognized institution or any equivalent qualification acceptable to the Board;
  2. Candidates should reckon at least 10 years’ experience in civil engineering including 8 years experience in project management, determination and negotiation of contracts, experience in contract  administration, with emphasis on the analysis and determination of contractual claims in a water supply/wastewater undertaking;
  3. Post-graduate qualifications in Project Management and design would be an advantage.

      B.  Candidates should also –
  1. possess sound organizational and administrative abilities, good communication and supervisory skills;
  2. possess working knowledge of Project Management tools such as budgeting, costs tracking, scheduling software, GIS water / wastewater modeling software and other IT tools;
  3. have an in-depth knowledge of International Conditions of Contracts (EU, FIDIC, etc.);
  4. have an in-depth knowledge of Arbitration, Construction Contract and Procurement Laws and possess good negotiating skills.

SALARY
Salary package for the above post shall be negotiable and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
