  • Full-time (37.5 hours)
  • 12 Month contract, with possibility of extension
  • London-based, with regular travel to the region
  • Salary: £39,644 plus 9% employer pension contribution

The East and Central Africa Projects Manager will support our work in Democratic Republic of Congo and deliver current and develop new projects that pursue constructive approaches to addressing conflicts in other Lord’s Resistance Army affected areas of Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, South Sudan and Uganda.  There is a requirement to travel regularly (between three-four months per year).
 
Considerable and proven experience of working with a wide range of social and political actors is essential as is a sound understanding of the conflict dynamics in East and Central Africa. Candidates should have at considerable field and office based experience of working in conflict transformation or a related field. They should have a proven track record in successful project management and coordinating work on multiple projects with a range of contacts in conditions of current or recent conflict. Both fluent French and English are required for this role.
