Position Summary
· To lead Rashpetco through the environmental step forward process.
· Establish Environmental risks and impacts from Company operations and activities.
· Setting the environmental strategy and putting in place plans to achieve this strategy, implementing systems and structures, and developing resources and capabilities to achieve a high level of environmental management.
· Work with and develop the Rashpetco environmental team in order to provide long term and sustainable environmental management at Rashpetco.
· Develop a structured programme to enhance, maintain and continually improve the effectiveness of the existing Environmental Management System (EMS) - work towards ISO14001 certification of the EMS.

Key Accountabilities
1) Developing the scope and timing of the environmental programme.
2) Developing a resourced schedule to deliver the programme.
3) Managing the environmental team to deliver the programme.
4) Developing competent resources within Rashpetco/Burullus to deliver the programme and maintain a high level of environmental management within the company.
5) Liaising with all departments that are involved in the programme.
6) Liaising, as necessary, with Joint Venture Partner Companies.
7) Liaising, as necessary, with Egyptian regulatory/governmental bodies.
8) Monitoring progress against the schedule and formulating recovery actions.
9) Managing the preparation of documents that are deemed necessary to underpin the programme.
10) Assisting the Rashpetco/Burullus Leadership Team in embedding the environmental programme throughout the whole organization.
11) Develop appropriate criteria for demonstrating that the environmental programme is successfully implemented within Rashpetco/Burullus.

Unique Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attribute
· Environmental management in the oil and gas sector.
· Development of strategy and development of plans to deliver a strategy.
· Environmental project management and delivery.
· Development and implementation of international environmental standards and guidelines.
· Delivering an environmental change management programme.
· Influencing a range of partners and stakeholders.
· Educated to degree level, or higher, in environment, geography, environmental chemistry, engineering, science or similar subjects.
· Good analytical skills.
· Good interpersonal skills with a flair for building internal and external networks at all organizational levels.
· Able to persuade and influence office and site based personnel of the importance of Rashpetco/Burullus becoming recognized as an environmentally responsible company.
· Able to deliver presentations at a range of organizational levels.
· Target orientated and self-motivated - able to work under minimum supervision.
· Able to manage people, budgets, consultants and projects.
