Fauna & Flora International, Inc. headquartered in Washington, D.C., was formed in the United States in 1981 as a non-profit organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, for “charitable, scientific and educational purposes…including the conservation and sustainable management of biodiversity throughout the world and in particular as it supports the international program of work of Fauna & Flora International, a registered non-profit charitable organization founded in 1903 in the United Kingdom sharing the same conservation mission.
The Controller will assist in the financial management of FFI in the US. He/she will be based in the Washington, D.C. office and work closely with the Chief Financial Officer and project staff in the US and accounting staff in the UK to assure a smooth integration between the financial systems of the US and UK offices and solid project management. This position will also handle all financial inquiries from outside sources such as banks, auditors and funders. The successful candidate will have a minimum of four years’ experience in a senior account/management position within a non-profit organization. Strong computer skills and a knowledge of US government grant regulations are important. CPA and an understanding of QuickBooks would be ideal. Salary is commensurate with experience.
