The role

We are currently seeking a talented Lead CAD Designer to work closely with our other specialists to lead the drawing and design work in our Auckland Office, based in Newmarket. With a minimum of 7 years commercial experience in details, you will play a key role in the management and preparation of design drawings, largely focussing on projects within the transportation sector but also to provide CAD support for other sectors such as hydropower and power as required.

With a track record of achievement in a similar role, you will have gained your experience in an engineering design consultancy and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.
Suitable applicants will have/be:
  • High proficiency in the application of AutoCad and with an understanding of 3d modelling software such as MX, Civil 3d and/or 12d
  • Technical civil and structural engineering knowledge
  • Knowledge of the appropriate industry standards
  • Good interpersonal and communications skills to work effectively within a culturally diverse and multi-disciplinary environment
  • A desire to learn and develop a strong career in engineering.
