Position Summary

The Offshore Installation Company Representative role is a staff position and an integral part of the Asset management team. The position will be instrumental to influencing safe and efficient operations on the third party operated facility. Acting as an offshore coordinator and the BG Installation Representative:-
·          Champion and provide leadership towards delivery of a high performing safety culture.
·          Ensure that the Facilities operator and subcontractors fulfil the requirements of rules and regulations relating to HSSE, and shall follow up that the participants comply with the requirements during conduct of the work. (See to it Duty responsibility)
·          Execute emergency preparedness responsibilities according to contingency plans. 
·          Ensure that the facilities operator act according to contracts obligations.
·          Influences the Facilities operator to deliver an offshore work programme to agreed KPI’s, through aligning, prioritising, and managing a broad range of functional interests.
·          Drive production optimisation and due diligence activities, maximizing value from functional experts, industry best practice, and synergies between operations.
·          Provide interface to Knarr project logistics functions, including offshore loading and gas dispatch
·          Represent the BG Operations manager on the offshore facility.

Key Accountabilities

HSSEEngender a culture of continuous HSSE performance improvement.
Influence the offshore teams to achieving sustained incident free operations.
Instil BG HSSE culture and standards amongst all external partners and vendors.
Ensure full compliance with Norwegian Working Environment and HSSE regulation, BG practices and best industry guidelines, providing assurance that the offshore organisation has required safety competence to meet all internal and external compliance activities.
Execute emergency preparedness responsibilities according to contingency plan
Ensure Facilities operator is meeting all requirements in respect of regulatory and incident reporting compliance.
 
Performance Management
Ensure key performance metrics are visible for onshore management team.
Ensure that the facilities operator act according to contracts obligations.
Establishment and measurement of operational performance against robust production measures and improvement programme.
Assist facilities operator to deliver the offshore implementation element of the integrated work plan.
Accountable for cost management within allocated logistics budget. 

Process and SystemsEnsure FPSO contractor have effective, “fit for purpose” technical, HSSE, commercial, production processes, and systems
Play a lead role in influencing facilities operator achieving world class reliability and asset integrity performance.
Champion the implementation of performance management processes across all teams to ensure common focus on operational performance.
 
People and Organisation
Responsible for the day to day management of the BG personnel offshore on the installation. Up to 3 persons during normal operations with up to 15 during shutdown activities.
As directed by facilities OIM, provide assistance in coaching offshore population to develop individual, team and organisation capabilities. Drive effective implementation of and maintain robust competency assurance and development systems.
Ensure performance and development activities to support improvement and strengthening of individual and team performance are conducted as per written procedures
Monitor all offshore resourcing activities ranging from succession management through to manpower planning.

Unique Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attribute

Experience Needed
·         
Experienced professional with operational/technical background in a related discipline. Has fundamental understanding of operational/technical principles and processes and has ability to oversee their implementation and long term effective management.
 
Language
·         Fluent Norwegian communicator as offshore language is Norwegian + English

Qualifications
·         A degree or equivalent in a relevant subject.
·         Offshore NCS experience
·         Marine regulations (if applicable)
·         Basic offshore survival and emergency training
·         Offshore medical certification 
 
Special Features 
This is an offshore position with a schedule of 14 day offshore schedule + 5 days in Florø/Stavanger office, and 3 weeks off.
Incumbent will have a visible presence both offshore and onshore, including undertaking onshore projects for defined periods of time.
Holding a high profile position, incumbent will be expected to represent BG at relevant industry and Company forums (e.g. Step Change).
Travel to other BG offices and facilities will be expected.
