Project Fundraiser

Education & Qualifications
  • Educated to higher level education or equivalent
Experience - Essential
  • Experience in writing project applications and in participation in multi - partner projects
  • Knowledge about EU funding scheme and network of suitable foundations
  • Knowledge about the organic food and farming sector, or experience in an NGO on EU level in the area of food/agriculture/environment
  • At least 2 years work experience in fundraising
  • Experience in a variety of IT applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and databases
  • Effective communication skills in English including verbal, written and presentation skills
Experience - Desirable
  • Experience in other non-governmental organisation
  • Experience in project management
  • Specific Contacts and overview of foundations in the area of food/agriculture/environment

  • Empathy with the aims and objectives of IFOAM EU
  • Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Flexibility; able to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Ability to communicate with European partners
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English and preferably also in other languages
  • Strong multi-tasking and organisational skills
  • Meticulous, with good attention to detail
  • Good minute writing skills
  • Enthusiastic and cheerful manner
Conditions of employment
  • Full time position
  • Based at the IFOAM EU Group office in Brussels
  • Monday to Friday, 38 hours/week, flexible working hours possible
  • 24 days holiday per annum.
  • Salary between 26-32,000 EUR gross, plus meal and eco voucher, representation allowance , subject to qualifications and experience
  • Employment period: start as early as possible with one year contract, prolongation in case of successful performance possible.
