Overview of Position: 
The research analyst will undertake research on Asian development issues.

Qualifications/Experience:

• PhD  in economics, business, statistics or social sciences with rigorous training in micro and macro economics and quantitative analysis;
• Minimum 3 years of experience in relevant research, consulting, strategic planning, or policy analysis;
• Demonstrated strong interest/knowledge in economic analysis, political economy and governance issues;
• Competence to undertake research assignments independently, with little or no supervision;
• Familiarity with sources of data and literature on macro and governance issues.

Skill Sets/Knowledge

• Strong research, writing, editing and communication skills;
• Ability to perform with independent judgment and analysis;
• Ability to work well under pressure, and meet rapid and multiple deadlines;
• Comfortable working with high-profile individuals from business, academic, policy, government, and international circles;
• Excellent computer skills, including MS Office applications and social media;
• Working knowledge of econometric software (SAS/STATA) a plus;
• Chinese or other Asian language.

Remuneration package will be based upon qualifications and experience.
