Logistics specialist (Equipment deliveries)
The Role
Organization, coordination and control of equipment delivery “door-to-door” process. Calculation of logistics costs for equipment deliveries. Ensure that all shipments to Russia are compliant; goods have correct tariff code, certificates, licenses and import documentation. To work close with Freight Forwarders and Customs Brokers for smooth and transparent transportation & CC process.
Key Performance Areas
- Day-to-day operations to ensure flow of goods in of Russia (among other things)
- Review open sales orders to prepare customs clearance documentation
- Monitor funds for customs payments
- Ensure there is a HS tariff code for all items imported, the tariff code has an authorized importation license or certificate and valid certificate from PUs (e.g. HS Classification, Origin, etc.)
- Prepare Import documentation and cooperate with Suppliers and Freight Forwarders to ensure correct shipping documents are on all orders.
- Collaborate with PU TSDs to ensure technical descriptions for all items are correct: - Technical descriptions in Russian language, application, weights, dimensions, volumes, photos, and technical diagram translations.
- Work with Customs Brokers to ensure smooth importation of all items, handle all issues in case they occur, inform Inbound & Sales teams if there are any changes during the importation process
- Work with customs Authorities for all issues
- Managing all procedures for SA Russia including Finance department
- Solving issues with Freight forwarders and Customs Agents (e.g. route cause)
- Backup cover for colleagues in Logistics Services
- Insert and handle orders in iScala, prepare some financial documents (account, invoice)
- To control contract terms and payments from Customers
- Other duties within Logistics Services as role evolves and changes
Your Profile
- Degree in Logistics and/or in International Business studies or knowledge acquired by wide experience in similar duties/functions.
- 3-5 years experience in International Freight or Customs activities (preferably in equipment), Trade compliance
- Working knowledge of English and Russian Language (spoken and written) is a strong plus
- Understanding of Freight, Customs and Import legislation and way to stay updated with changes
- Interpersonal and change management skills
- Good planning and problem solving skills and be able to quickly resolve issues
- Analytical Approach
- Good knowledge and or ability to learn to use system tools (within Sandvik and at Customs Broker)
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work in matrix organization
