JRA is one of the Agencies established through the restructuring process of the City of Jhb. Our primary focus is to become a Premier Roads Network Operator and service provider in the country.

Foreman
Basic salary: R11 375 – R17 150 per month

Requirements:

• Minimum requirement – Grade 12 or N3 Certificate
• N6 Civil Engineering Certificate would be advantageous
  
• At least 2 years’ engineering road maintenance experience of which 1 must have been in a supervisory position.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure documented detailed resource planning before commencement of jobs (eg correct and functional tools/equipment, labour, material and transport)
  
• Ensure achievement of set/agreed staff utilisation, machine downtime and material wastage targets
  
• Monitor that work teams wear protective clothing on a daily basis and immediately take corrective steps in case of non-compliance
• Assess job cards the same day they have been received to approve, check for quality and to identify any non-compliance
  
• Maintain accurate records at all times.
