Job Purpose |
To perform regular Profit Manager (PM) calibration and other support items to ensure that high levels of forecasting accuracy are maintained and control files validated. To perform various studies on EY and Partner network end evaluate impacts on both for a given change in schedule (current, short term and long term).

Responsibilities |
- Define different segmentation and networks to be used, including geographical selection, fare classes, point of origin, city markets etc… to accurately model EY market share and revenues on an Origin & Destination (O&D) basis.
- Calculate for every entity, fare class and point of origin a value for service attributes such as service type, aircraft, displacement time, elapsed time, to be included in the market share model.
- Based on Market Intelligence Data Tapes (MIDT) data produce Time of Week curves for all fare classes and point of origin/market so that PM assigns logical demand volumes.
- To calibrate the system market sizes based on MIDT, Industry data and other sources to reflect total market size not just EY traffic.
- To derive average passenger revenues per O & D so that total network revenues and profitability can be forecast.
- Calibrate Load factor on closed flights values by entity, fare class, market, using Yield Management data, booking history and Post departure data.
- Measure Coefficient of variation, a measure of the degree of variability in passenger demand for all markets, fare classes and point of sale by measuring actual data from PDD.
- Carry out regular Forecast vs Actual (FVA) analyses to highlight variances and then re-calibrate the system to ensure reliability of forecasts.
- Perform, analyze and present the results (passengers and revenues) of various scenario plans for the management regarding current EY network (plus partners) and future growth plans (short term and long term).

Requirements |
Qualification & Education: A Master’s degree in Business, Engineering or Operations Research Management.
Experience: 8 years minimum experience in an airline preferably in Network Planning.
Training & Knowledge: Knowledge of SAS programming language is essential. Airline planning courses Operations Research Management courses would be advantageous Detailed knowledge of airline Network planning and industry data sources Excellent analytical, planning, organizing skills and fully computer literate Presentation and negotiation skills Strong verbal and written English language skills
