Integrated Conservation Planning Coordinator, Mining & Energy (Maternity Cover)

Salary: Circa £30,500, depending on skills and experience
Start Date: 31 March 2014 or as soon as possible thereafter
Duration of Contract: This is a temporary position to provide maternity cover and will terminate on or before 10 April 2015 on the return of the Integrated Conservation Planning Specialist from maternity leave.
Location: Fauna & Flora International, Cambridge, with UK and international travel as required
FFI is seeking qualified candidates to provide temporary maternity cover for the position of Integrated Conservation Planning Coordinator, Mining & Energy. We are looking for a dynamic team player with a demonstrated commitment to conservation, clear project management abilities, sound technical knowledge relating to landscape level planning and integrated landscape management, and active on-the-ground project experience, preferably working on landscape level conservation initiatives. The Coordinator will play a project management and technical implementation role within FFI’s Business and Biodiversity portfolio, with a specific focus on supporting the continued development of FFI’s portfolio of landscape level assessments of biodiversity and ecosystem services and systematic conservation planning initiatives, in priority regions where extractive, oil & gas and agricultural industry are active players.  The role will work closely with FFI’s Regional and Technical teams and with key collaborating institutions to develop funding proposals and implement projects promoting integrated landscape level planning and management. The successful applicant will support FFI’s cross-sectoral partnerships in the extractives, oil & gas and agricultural sectors to further develop and implement no net loss projects and programmes.
