Oxford Analytica, a leading global analysis and advisory firm, seeks to recruit an International Economy Analyst to deliver authoritative insights on key macroeconomic trends for their public and private sector clients.
This is a challenging and exciting role for an experienced economist, or financial sector journalist, who thrives working in a fast-paced environment. Based in Oxford, and guided by the latest academic research, the International Economy Analyst will provide daily analysis of fresh developments in global politics, macroeconomics and the political economy.
This is a challenging and exciting role for an experienced economist, or financial sector journalist, who thrives working in a fast-paced environment. Based in Oxford, and guided by the latest academic research, the International Economy Analyst will provide daily analysis of fresh developments in global politics, macroeconomics and the political economy.
An excellent academic record, including an advanced degree in economics or finance is required, along with extensive first-hand experience of economic analysis in a business or government setting.
Candidates will be at an advantage if they have a background in the energy, financial, biotech or IT sectors, as well as a general understanding of broader global strategic issues. A working knowledge of a language, other than English, would be an asset.
Strong written communication skills with the ability to write/edit with speed and accuracy in English, is essential. Candidates should also demonstrate professional-level competence in engaging directly with clients via personal briefings, public speaking engagements and media appearances.
