GMO-free project coordinator

Education & Qualifications
Educated to higher level education or equivalent
Experience - Essential
  • At least 1 year experience in the organic food and farming sector or in an NGO on EU level in the area of food/agriculture/environment and/or EU institutions
  • At least 2 years experience in organisation and coordination
  • Basic understanding of food business and GMO legislation in the EU
Experience - Desirable
  • Experience in other non-governmental organisation
  • Experience on EU level on policy work
  • Knowledge about EU institutions and EU processes
Skills
  • Good organisational/coordinating skills
  • Good administration skills
  • Essential: Good verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Desirable: Good verbal and written communication skills in French and other EU languages
  • Good minute writing skills
  • Command of common IT applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and databases

Conditions of employment
  • Full time position
  • Based at the IFOAM EU Group office in Brussels
  • Monday to Friday, 38 hours/week, flexible working hours possible
  • 24days holiday per annum. Vacancy: Coordinator in the field of "GMO-free food and farming"
  • Salary between 26-32,000 EUR gross, plus meal and eco voucher, representation allowance , subject to qualifications and experience
  • Employment period: start as early as possible with one year contract , prolongation for 2 more years envisaged.
