The main role of the ICT Operations Group, comprised of several functional teams, is to design, implement, operate and maintain all ICT Infrastructure components for Europol, the Member States and third parties as well as the operations & support of all Europol systems. The successful candidate will be the Business Manager (Head) of ICT Operations Group.

Main responsibilities may include:

  • Management of staff members and external consultants in the group, including recruitments, assessments and general staff development;
  • Planning, scheduling, prioritisation and coordination of work activities, which includes projects and services, in excess of 10.000 man-days per year;
  • Management of ICT infrastructure initiatives and operations budget (planning and execution) in excess of 10M€ per year;
  • Be operationally accountable for services delivered to all Europol stakeholders, ensuring the agreement and respect of SLAs for the supported systems;
  • Ensure that security and business continuity concerns are adequately addressed in all systems and processes;
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers and service providers;
  • Provide strategic advice and roadmaps for the evolution of ICT infrastructure and operations, in alignment with enterprise architecture and business objectives; 
  • Lead and drive a continuous improvement programme on processes, tools and work practices of the ICT Operations Group.

Your profile:

We are looking for senior ICT Infrastructure & Operations professionals from all EU Member States, who have:
  • At least 12 years of relevant IT experience, of which at least the last 9 years focusing on operations management and at least 6 years in a senior management role;
  • Experience and track record in organisational change management and in driving maturity improvement programmes in ICT operations management.
Monthly salary: approx. 6.325 EUR (net without allowance) and approx. 8877 EUR (net with allowances – if applicable) 
In addition, if applicable, allowances such as expatriation allowance, household allowance, dependent child allowance and education may be granted. Europol also offers a comprehensive welfare package.
