Transnet Freight Rrail (TFR) is a division of Transnet responsible for freight movement across Ssouth Aafrica. We’re looking for talented individuals who are interested in becoming part of improving the movement of rail freight in SA.

Traindrivers
Richards Bay, 2279, Bayview, Nsese, Empangeni, Vryheid, Piet Retief, Ermelo, Ogies, Witbank, Sseelpoort, Lydenburg, Belfast, Middelburg, Nelspruit, Waterval Boven, Sabie, Phalaborwa, Komatipoort, Pyramid South, Rustenburg, Thabazimbi

Applications are invited from South African citizens with a Grade 12 Certificate and/or have a Diploma in Train Working Rules (Train Driver). The applicants must have a proven track record of duties performed as a Train Driver.

The incumbents will be responsible for facilitating the movement of trains to ensure that goods and passengers reach the destination safely and on time.

Responsibilities: • Before departure testing • Shunting movements • Tended dead locomotive • Moved train • Pilot services • Protected train • Shunting journals/train journals • Signed on duty and prepared locomotives • Stabled train/locomotive and signed off duty.

For all the positions: Applicants must be medically and mentally fit and able to communicate fluently in English. Due to long and irregular hours of work, access to transport is essential, as the company does not provide employees with transport to and from their place of employment. Suitable candidates will undergo a competency-based selection process.
