Global Aviation Manager

Puma Energy is currently active in more than 25 airports, spread over Africa and Central America. The incumbent will develop and manage Puma’s new and ongoing Global Aviation business in order to achieve the overall key objectives of the business (ie volumes, margins, EBIDTA, Capex investments, Opex, etc). He/she will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives as well as coaching, training and developing aviation staff, while establishing and implementing quality initiatives, efficient customer service and improving staff productivity. Building effective relationships with local market stakeholders also forms part of his/her duties.

Profile required for the above role:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the aviation fuel business
  • Track record of developing business for setting up business from scratch and/or leading a market entry to a more mature state
  • Willingness to travel extensively
  • Ability to interact with large external clients and vendors as well as key internal stakeholders, work independently, be a strong team player and work on multiple projects concurrently.

Other Opportunities
We are looking for Finance Managers with downstream and office work experience across our African operations, with current requirements in Benin and Malawi. Applicants should be nationals of these countries. As we are currently expanding, we are regularly looking for talent in other functions, including: • Commercial Aviation • Engineering: Engineers and Project Managers • Operations.

In addition to relevant qualifications, technical competence and skills in the above areas, knowledge of French and/or Portuguese will be an advantage. All of the above roles require travel into Africa.
