Program Coordinator CARE Phnom Penh

Position reports to: Assistant Country Director Programs

Position Type: Project funded, fixed terms (24 months with the possibility of extension)

The Program Coordinator will have overall responsibility to ensure the development, implementation and management of program and projects delegated under the Country Office Program Strategy. S/he will be responsible for a variety of tasks associated with program development, enhancement of program ability to learn from lessons, strengthening of current project activities, and building staff capacity and working closely with relevant Ministries and other stakeholders to ensure that CARE's program contributes to relevant national and international development goals.

The allocation of programmatic and project-specific responsibilities will be reviewed as part of the ongoing strategic planning process within the country program. It is expected that the Program Coordinator will demonstrate considerable initiative and will be able to balance her/his time in a manner that efficiently and effectively fulfils a range of program and project-specific responsibilities. This position will supervise a range of staff, technical advisers and consultants responsible for program and project implementation.
