Office Coordinator
Sandvik Machining Solutions, a world leader in tools and tooling systems for metal cutting, as well as components and high-volume blanks in cemented carbide, has an opening for an Office Coordinator for the evening hours at their Hebron facility in Kentucky.
The role
In this key role, the Office Coordinator will assume ownership and responsibility for document creation and expediting of international shipments from our Hebron facility. The individual will require the experience and knowledge to effectively coordinate, schedule, track and expedite shipments in order to provide the most optimal delivery service. This highly interactive role involves customers & brokers, service providers, and government regulating entities. The Office Coordinator requires extreme attention to detail.
Key performance areas
  • Manual and electronic filing of shipment data, import and export documentation and posting of data
  • Collection of data used for weekly and monthly statistical reports
  • Create waybill and invoice documentation for export shipments in accordance with Customs policies, rules and regulations
  • Send pre-notifications of export shipments to markets and customs brokers
  • Data entry to accurately update inventory
  • Filing of carrier claims
  • Invoicing of customer orders
Your profile
  • High school education or equivalent. Some college or a degree with coursework in international and/or logistics is preferred
  • One to two years of experience in exports, logistics and/or related fields. Willing to train the right candidate
  • Excellent problem solving and organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast paced office environment
  • Prior experience with data entry and knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems is a plus
  • Good oral and written communication skills
