Job Description

Purpose of the Role
 
To manage IAG Cargo Business Insights portfolio to delivering insights to the IAG Cargo Commercial and Operational teams. To manage, support and develop a team of analysts. To drive the integration of reporting across the BA and IB operations.
 
Scope of the Role
 
A commercial and operational portfolio of reports and analysis with support from 4 analysts, for a global company with revenue circa €1.1b annually. Stakeholder management to senior (Department Head) level.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Able to scope and deliver complex analysis to provide insight on current performance, highlights issues and opportunities, leading to actions to deliver IAG Cargo performance targets
  • Provides insight and analysis for commercial and operational teams including input into business cases and commercial strategies
  • Maximise the value and use of corporate data through the best use of SQL and available software/tools
  • Leads team of Business Analysts, managing performance and development through coaching, providing feedback and supporting individual progress
  • Develops and prioritises project portfolio supporting relevant business areas within IAG Cargo Business Insights team
  • Develops, maintains and shares analytical best practice within team and across IAG Cargo
  • Able to structure and simplify complex problems
  • Manages and influences key stakeholders requirements, influencing to Department Head level
  • Acts as the conscience of the business, challenging and impacting decision making where appropriate
  • Models IAG Cargo values and behaviours

  • Good Project and Portfolio Management
Qualifications
  • Numerate Degree
  • Advanced level SQL
Experience
  • Relevant experience in a commercial analytical role
  • Good level of commercial acumen
  • Experience analysing complex issues, packaging findings and presenting effectively to senior managers
  • Knowledge of specialist systems (e.g. Business Objects, OBIEE, Essbase, visualisation software, O365 power tools) are desirable
  • Previous experience working with a Spanish Company desirable
