Education and Health Systems Manager - International Diabetes Federation Brussels

The International Diabetes Federation is looking for an experienced individual to join its Policy and Programmes team to help drive forward its mission to advance diabetes care, prevention and a cure worldwide. This is an exciting and challenging time for individuals who want to make a difference to the lives of millions of people with diabetes or at risk of diabetes. The Education and Health Systems Manager will join a multinational staff of around 35 at IDF’s Brussels Executive Office and work closely with 7 regional offices, member associations, board members and expert volunteers.

This is a role for a driven individual with a passion for public health and development. IDF is looking for candidates who can demonstrate success in project management and implementation, collaboration with multinational and multicultural teams, and a commitment to improving the lives of people with diabetes.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Designing and implementing various projects related to advancing diabetes education and health systems;
  • Advocating for diabetes education and improved care for people with diabetes;
  • Overseeing the work of the education and health systems team and guiding their work towards high quality outcomes;
  • Supporting the professional development of the Education and Health Systems Team;
  • Coordinating the IDF Centres of Education and overseeing their work plan to ensure high quality and timely deliverables and managing the application procedure;
  • Providing feedback to inform the strategic direction and stakeholder engagement for education and health systems;
  • Contributing as a member of the policies and programmes team;
