Responsibilities:
· Under general direction, act as a Quality Assurance Engineer responsible for ensuring high quality delivery of mobile internet technology.
· Collects, analyzes and reports detailed information regarding test case failures to aid root cause analysis
· Performs basic Linux administration tasks such as OS installation and user account management
· Installs Linux applications from source distributions and package management software such as RPM
· Creates scripts in languages such as Bash, Perl or Python to help automate repetitive tasks
· Performs basic administration of server packages such as Apache and Tomcat
· Captures and analyzes packet traces using tools such as Wireshark and Tcpdump to help troubleshoot issues
· Advises QA Manager and the Head of Quality in preparing action plan following quality review.
Qualifications
Required:
· Experience in Software Quality Assurance, Software Development, or Systems Engineering
· Experience in test automation or UI validation automation a plus
· Familiar with Bash, Perl and/or Python or other relevant scripting languages
· Experience with Agile, 6-Sigma or other quality related process methodologies a plus
- Familiarity with Linux
- Familiarity with Networking
· BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related experience.
· Self-starter who can quickly come up-to-speed on Mobile Browser technology
· Ability to work well and succeed in a team environment and individually
· Ability to clearly, concisely, and confidently communicate with project team members both verbally and in writing.
