Key performance areas
The Sales Representative will support existing channel/distributor accounts for Sandvik Mining and Rock Technologies (Cutting and Bolting) – a division of Sandvik Construction handling the marketing, production, and product development of tools for applications such as road planning, cold recycling, grading, trenching and foundation drilling. The role covers the Great Lakes/Canada area (US: MI, IN, IL, WI, MN - Canada: BC, AB, SK, MB, ON, QC, NB, NS, NL) and requires a self-motivated, results-oriented sales professional with a strong technical aptitude to service our business-to-consumer sales area. The Sales Representative mainly deals with end-users, promoting Cutting and Bolting’s product line through joint sales calls, product training, customer support & analysis, and product recommendations.
As a Sales Representative, you will set your own schedule as you travel to meet customers – building and maintaining relationships and driving business. You will develop new sales opportunities and optimize existing accounts to increase product market share and new product introduction.
In order to drive robust sales, you will be required to evaluate current and prospective distributors in the area. A significant amount of travel should be expected, as you will visit current and potential customers and distributors.
Your profile
The Sales Representative must possess at least 5 years’ sales experience, or machine operating experience (Road Milling or Trenching preferred) combined with an interest in sales. The Sales Representative also possesses persuasive presentation skills.
Experience in the construction industry is a plus.
This position includes a generous base salary, plus a bonus.
