Marketing Promotions Coordinator (Native English speaker)

EWEA is the voice of the wind industry, actively promoting wind power in Europe and worldwide. It has over 600 members from almost 60 countries. With its in-depth knowledge of the industry, EWEA informs its members with its expertise, provides advice, and supports them. EWEA organises two of Europe’s leading events for the wind energy industry as well as seminars and workshops.
Job purpose
Responsible for promotional planning of the full portfolio of EWEA products and services, negotiating with the media, maintaining good contact with all promotional partners and developing of promotional campaigns.
Responsible for taking a brief and generating original copy ideas that grab the attention of the target audience (e.g. straplines, body copy for emails/ websites/ marketing collateral), and ensuring company messages are consistent.
Primary responsibilities
- Provide support to marketing and sales departments for the development and execution of promotional campaigns
- Create, review and revise copy to optimize marketing materials.
- Coordinate and deliver email campaigns.
- Identify the target audience and decide how best to communicate the message.
- Send promotions through direct mail, inserts in magazines, Internet advertisements, via national associations, or other special events.
- Write and deliver content via websites, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, email.
- Plan promotional campaigns and prepare advertising schedules.
- Build relationships with media sales companies and negotiate rates/ partnerships to obtain an effective promotional campaign at competitive prices
- Select, negotiate, establish and maintain relationships with partners
- Measure ad effectiveness and optimize if needed.
- Keep abreast of industry media, including distribution and audience figures.
Your profile
- Degree discipline in marketing/ communications/ media studies.
- 3+ Years as a media assistant or planner with multi-channel experience
- Proven experience in copywriting and passion for marketing communications
- Native English speaker with excellent writing and editing skills and ability to interpret technical terms and turn it into compelling copy for several channels and audiences
- 2+ Years experience of social media marketing on all major social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Google+, YouTube, and SlideShare)
- Proven experience on managing website content (copywriting and web-editing)
- Clear understanding of the media planning and buying process
- Solid understanding of general advertising and direct marketing performance metrics
- Culturally sensitive
- Cool under pressure and able to manage multiple projects at a time.
- Enthusiastic personality and positive mindset
- Ability to work in a team
- Other languages are an asset to deal with contacts from all over Europe
