Applications are invited for the following position at our Kopanang Mine in the Klerksdorp area:

Training & Development Officer: Mining

Applicants must have the following: * At least 5 years' experience as Shift Overseer in Stoping, Development and/or Equipping * A minimum educational qualification of Grade 12 * A valid Certificate of Fitness or be able to obtain one * Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office package and other Windows applications. Registration as Workplace Assessor and/or Moderator and courses attended in BTA and Best Practice in Training (NQF Level 3 and 4) will be advantageous.

The successful candidate will be expected to: * Report to the Senior Training and Development Officer * Train, coach and follow up on learners * Update reports and normal duties of a Training Officer * Update Learning and Assessment material as well as Mine Standards * Undertake on-the-job assessments * Handle underground accident investigations * Lead staff in line with Company values.

The salary will be in accordance with the AngloGold Ashanti Limited Schedule of Salaries.
