Preamble
Gumutindo Coffee Co-operative Enterprise Ltd is a Fair - trade and Organic Certified small farmer co-operative union based in Mbale. The Cooperative boasts of more than 7,000 farmers as members who produce excellent quality coffee on the slopes of Mount Elgon. The day-to-day management of the trading affairs of the cooperative is delegated to a workers company called Gumutindo Management Agency Ltd.

Gumutindo Coffee Coop Enterprise has recently installed a new coffee curing factory at its premises on Plot 8/12 Road in Mbale Industrial Area and Gumutindo Management Agency is therefore looking for a suitable candidate to work as a Factory Manager. Gumutindo Management Agency is also seeking to recruit an Assistant Accountant to strengthen the already existing team of professionals in the accounts section.

The job requirements are as below:

1. Factory Manager.
The factory manager will over see the plant operations of our new coffee curing plant, which will entail the following
activities among others:
i) Supervise a resource team of technicians to operate the coffee curing plant.
ii) Responsible for receiving, recording and hulling parchment coffee from the warehouse and grading, bagging and handing over the green and graded coffee back to the In-charge of the coffee warehouse.
iii) Keep an accurate record of the coffee out turns from parchment to clean coffees
iv) Is responsible for designing and implementing the maintenance and repair schedules of the factory
v) Is responsible for ensuring that (he workers of the factory are following proper safety standards as required by the Fair Trade and Organic Standards.
vi) Any other related work as may be assigned by the Managing Director

Job requirement

Qualifications.
A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a Higher

'Diploma in the same field with a track record of supervising a team of workers. She/he should also have a working experience of handling agricultural processing machinery.
