PROFESSOR/ ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR/ SENIOR LECTURER/ LECTURER IN THE DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURAL AND BIOSYSTEMS ENGINEERING (Closing Date 21 April 2011)
QUALIFICATIONS:

• A Ph.D in Water Resources/ Water Engineering or relevant field.
• Teaching experience at University level will be an added advantage.
DUTIES:
1. To teach courses in Principles of Irrigation, Integrated Water Resources Management, Rural Water Supply and Irrigation Water Management to both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
2. To carry out research and community service in the area of irrigation and water resources.
3. To perform any other related duties assigned by the Head of Department.

ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR/ SENIOR LECTURER IN THE DEPARTMENT OF ACADEMIC COMMUNICATION SKILLS (Closing Date 21 April 2011)
QUALIFICATIONS:

A Ph.D/ Masters in:
• Applied Linguistics or
• Teaching English as Second Language (TESL) or
• English Language and Linguistics.
DUTIES:
1. To teach English for Academic purposes (EAP) and English for Specific Purposes (ESP).
2. To design and develop materials for EAP and ESP.
3. Research and Community Service.

RELEVANT INFORMATION
Experience in:
1. The teaching of EAP and ESP in the Health Sciences.
2. Authoring Computer Assisted Language Learning materials.

PROFESSOR/ ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR/ SENIOR LECTURER IN THE DEPARTMENT OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (Closing Date 15 April 2011)
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• A Ph.D in Business/ Management or related area/ equivalent.
• Experience in teaching and Research at University level.

DUTIES:
1. To teach Post and Undergraduate courses in Management/ Business Administration.
2. Supervise Post and Undergraduate Projects.
3. Conduct Research and Community Service.

• Experience in teaching and Research at University level.

PROFESSOR/ ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR/ SENIOR LECTURER IN THE DEPARTMENT OF JURNALISM AND MASS COMMUNICATION (Closing Date: 21 April 2011)
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• A Ph.D in Mass Communication, Journalism or Media Studies.
• Evidence of a strong track Record of Published Research and relevant teaching experience.
DUTIES:
1. To teach Mass Communication Theory, Mass Communication Research, and Print or Broadcast journalism.
2. To supervise undergraduate Research Projects.
3. To conduct Research and carry out Community Service.

PROFESSOR/ ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR IN THE DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURAL ECONOMICS AND MANAGEMENT (AEM) (Closing 22 April 2011)
QUALIFICATIONS:
A PhD. in Agricultural Economics or related discipline, with experience in teaching and research at University level.
DUTIES:
1. To teach both undergraduate and Post Graduate students courses in Production Economics, Agricultural Finance Management, Econometrics, Farm Management, and Agribusiness Management.
2. Supervise undergraduate research projects and post graduate theses.
3. Participate in Departmental, Faculty and /or University- wide research and Outreach activities/ community service.
4. Provide professorial guidance to the department.

SENIOR LECTURER/ LECTURER IN THE DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICS (Closing Date 29 April 2011)
Qualifications:

A Ph.D in Physics, preferably in the field of solid state Physics and Material Science

Duties:
1. To teach physics at undergraduate level.
2. To do research in the relevant field.
3. To carry out community Services.

SENIOR LECTURER/ LECTURER IN THE DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICS (Closing Date 29 April 2011)
QUALIFICATIONS:

A Ph.D in Physics preferably with a theoretical and Mathematical Physics background
DUTIES:
1. To teach physics to undergraduate level.
2. To do research in the relevant field/ and Community Service.
3. To perform any other duties assigned by the Head of Department.

SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW/ RESEARCH FELLOW IN PHYTOCHEMISTRY IN THE SWAZILAND INSTITUTE FOR RESEARCH IN TRADITIONAL MEDICINE, MEDICINAL AND INDIGENOUS FOOD PLANTS (Closing Date 13 May 2011)
Qualifications:

A Ph.D. or M.Sc. in Phytochemistry, Natural Product Chemistry or Medical Plant Chemistry.
DUTIES:
1. Phytochemical screening of medicinal and food plants.
2. Participate in ethnobotanical surveys of medicinal and indigenous food plants.
3. Design and evaluate Research proposals.
4. To develop proposals for funding.
5. To perform any other duties assigned by the Director of the Institute and relevant Senior Authorities of the University.

SENIOR LECTURER/ LECTURER IN THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION AND MANAGEMENT (Closing Date 13 May 2011)
Qualifications:
A Ph.D. in Educational Psychology specializing in Measurement and Evaluation; School Psychometry.
DUTIES:
1. To teach Measurement and Evaluation plus Research Methods.
2. To supervise Masters (M.Ed.) studies.
3. To do research in the relevant field and community Service.
4. To perform any other duties assigned by the Head of Department.

LOCAL CANDIDATES
Permanent and Pensionable service after successful completion of two years on probation; Recruitment and Retention Allowance, Housing Allowance and a Medical Aid.

EXPATRIATE CANDIDATES
A two-year contract which will attract Gratuity, recruitment Allowance a Medical Aid contribution and relocation expenses.
