DEPARTMENT OF GEOGRAPHY AND ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the post of Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in the Department of Geography and Environmental Sciences at the National University of Lesotho. Successful candidates are expected to start duties not later than August 1 st, 2011. QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates should have a Masters Degree in Geography with specialist training in Urban and Regional Planning. A PhD and/ or minimum of 5 years experience working in Urban and Regional Planning practice and / or teaching at University level will be an added advantage. DUTIES: The successful candidate will be expected to teach Geography courses including Advanced Environmental Systems; Urban Geography and / or Rural Geography; Regional Geography of Southern Africa; Regional and Rural Development Planning; Environmental Policy and / or Environmental Planning, and / or any other course assigned by the Department.. The candidate is also expected to supervise students’ research projects; do own research; participate in the Departmental research programme; and do any other duties assigned by the Department and the University from time to time.
