Loan Officer (micro lending)

Job Summary:
Reporting to Credit Manager, the Loan Officer is responsible to take all decision's and necessary actions within the limits set by the Credit Procedures and by the Management.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience Required:
Higher education (e.g. 'Bachelor Degree), preferably in economics and/or finance; Ability and willingness to work in a team; Computer literacy; Word, Excel, Fluency in English, good command of , Swahili; Honesty and Integrity, Experience in Banking/ Financial institution will be an added advantage

Skills and Attributes:
Self-motivated with professional integrity, possess good inter personal skills and effective organizational skills.

Key Accountabilities ,
Active participation in all relevant training measures and workshops organized and offered by the Bank
Ensure high quality and quantity standards of the Bank's lending business'
Build up and maintain a high quality and quantity individual loan portfolio
Ensure a good and efficient co-operation with colleagues in the Credit Department and in other Departments/Units of the Bank . .
Inform the Credit Manager on overdue Ibans and the plans to recover, loan applications in process business analysis, and credit proposals to be presented in the Credit Committee.
Inform on fulfillment of individual targets for disbursed loans and portfolio size
Ensuring confidentiality of documentation and data concerning the Bank's clients.
