Bids and Proposal Manager

The Eurasia Foundation (EF) an int'l non-profit org supporting the development of civil society and private enterprise in the countries of the former Soviet Union seeks a Bids and Proposal Manager. Under the supervision of the Director of Program Development, the Bids and Proposal Manager is responsible for producing funding proposals from both USG and non-USG sources, often in collaboration with EF’s partner foundations. This position may involve up to 25% travel in order to prepare proposals. The primary responsibility of this job is to manage proposal development teams and to contribute to the preparation of winning proposals.

Education: Educational attainment should be to the level of Bachelor's degree or equivalent; Master's degree is preferred.

Experience: Seven years demonstrated experience in preparing proposals, including those for USG agencies that resulted in funding. Previous civil society program experience required. Strong strategic planning, organizational, written and oral communication skills are required. Combination of years of experience plus degree is acceptable.

Other: Excellent English language ability; knowledge of the former Soviet Union and civil society programs required; Russian language a plus. Strong computer skills required.
