Project Director, Sudan

IRD is currently looking for a Project Director who will have overall management, training, and oversight for all aspects of a small enterprise / micro-finance project targeted 1000 families; establish 6 small enterprise training centers and develop training curriculum for small business trainings appropriate for the context of beneficiary clients; develop monthly work plans with staff and the Country Director for project delivery; coordinate the execution of monthly work plans with NGO partners, Government of Southern Sudan (GoSS) counterparts, USAID BRIDGE Warrap community action groups, and UN/INGO colleague agencies; provide management and oversight of small business grants, beneficiary client files, project procurements to support small enterprise and business plan accomplishment across all project locations; and conduct on going analysis on market opportunities for small enterprise beneficiary clients.
Required QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics, International Affairs or related field plus Five to Eight years’ experience with an INGO, UN Agency, or related organization focused on micro-credit, micro-enterprise, small business development, or economic growth; experience working on USAID and OFDA funded projects; demonstrated project management experience including planning, budgeting, managing project deliverables against a tight time line, and project reporting are essential for success in this position; experience working in Southern Sudan, including experience coordinating with GoSS agencies in the accomplishment of project deliverables.
