Project Coordinator
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management
- Manages and regularly monitors the detailed implementation plan, cash flow monitoring, communications plans and other project management tools
- Manages/coordinates implementation schedules, resource planning and finacial monitoring with involvement of key stakeholders
- Ensures that DRR technical standards are met
- Visits project implementation sites regularly and assesses the progress of implementation and shares feedback to the Non-Sponsorship Operations Manager
- Ensures integration of project activities within the overall WVDF DRR programming
- Ensures effective financial spending and conduct monthly budget reviews with the support of the Finance Officer
- Supports monitoring and evaluation and donor visits
- Facilitates project meetings
- Capacity Building
- Assesses existing capacity gaps and DRRM needs of regional and division DRRM coordinators and agree training modules with DepEd
- Develops and delivers tailored DRM and CCA training for at least 35 DepEd regional and division DRRM coordinators
- Supports development of DRM plans of regional DRRM coordinators and selected divisions
- Supports implementation of key priorities of the DRM plans of regional DRRM coordination and selected divisions per each agreed DRM plan timeline
- Assesses and identifies training needs of frontline responder team
- Conducts trainings for at least 35 frontline responder team i.e. preparedness, emergency response management
- Select and agree with DepEd the 7 target schools and school training content
- Facilitates agreements with selected schools including timeline and establishment of school commitees for DRM, facilitated by DepEd division DRRM coordinators
- Facilitates agreement with local government on their participation in the activities
- Provide support to schools in the conduct of risk assessment and mapping
- Provide support to develop DRM plans, linking to local government's DRM plan
- Provide support to schools in the development of Early Warning Systems, linking to local government's system
- Documentation and Reporting
- Prepares monthly, quarterly and final progress reports in collaboration with the appropriate departments in the organization
- Reviews and submits monthly financial reports including variance explanations in collaboration with finance
- Ensures adherence to reporting requirements per donor standards and relevant World Vision policies
- Networking
- Builds, maintains and strengthens relevant relationships such as GOs, INGOs, local and central Govenrment, donors and other external partners
- Liaise with relevant internal stakeholders/departments as deemed necessary to ensure that the project is integrated into WVDF overall operations
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Social Sciences preferably DRR, Education, Business/Project Management or equivalent substantial experience in DRR and capacity building
- At least two (2) years of experience on program management on various Health and nutrition development programs and projects
- Knowledge in LEAP 3.0, WVDPA, TD, and WVDF Core documents, partnership standards and policies, Horizon and PQ standards, M & E; skills in Human Resource Management, Program Management, Financial Management, Resource Mobilization and Team Leadership; strength in coaching and mentoring; a team player
