Pharmacist
Magbenteh Community Hospital is a small NGO-run hospital, situated in Makeni, one of the largest towns in Sierra Leone. Founded and ran by the Swiss Sierra Leone Development Foundation, the hospital was built to offer medical care to the poorest in Sierra Leone, where the maternal death rate is amongst the highest in the world.
To complement our Capacity Building Programme 2015-2016. We are looking for paid Expatriate VOLUNTEERS willing to support our Medical Project
Position Summary
This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to further develop your experience whilst helping those in need in Sierra Leone.
The main duty of the pharmacist will be to ensure good pharmacy practice. The pharmacist will be responsible for the management, ordering, storage and distribution of all medications. Another key responsibility will be the supervision and training of the local pharmacy staff.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will be a registered pharmacist with post-qualification experience, preferably in a hospital setting. Supervisory, training and management experience is also a necessity.
Both 6 month and 12 month contracts are available.
